Berlin, Barrio

End of another good week at Terracotta and we are making great strides with both the Festival in May and with Terracotta's release of SPARROW and THE DETECTIVE.

More cinema's have expressed an interest now in SPARROW and we have some very good original UK poster art, and a very special collector edition, more on which we can tell you about next month.

Ended a powerful week with a dinner in Spitalfields Market with the Terracotta PR & Marketing team where we hatched a plan to attend Berlin Film Festival next month - our first time! There's increasing number of Asian films and industry members there now, so it's definitely worth going.

We also confirmed this week, another screening venue for our ever growing MeetUp group - Barrio Central, Poland St. London. Barrio decor and happy hour beers and cocktails, with a large bar and screening area downstairs. Perfect!

If you haven't signed up for our free Asian Movies club and want to see undiscovered and hard to find, as well as the latest advance previews on MUST SEE films, then join up via:

must mine deeper

finding it hard to find an oustanding selection of films to count on one hand for 2010 let alone programme an entire festival. must mine deeper.

still, i have a large pile of things to watch.

so far, only been impressed by THE PIANO IN A FACTORY in last couple of weeks from what we have seen- reminds of THE FULL MONTY in that workers in a soon to close steel factory over come the odds to do something totally different and life affirming. the parallels end there of course - no nude chinese male working class heroes in this film!

only six more weeks till submissions close and another eight weeks before we start to put the programme together. time to find a few more films!

what a great christmas

well, what could be a better way to round off our year than the news that we are about to sign with an airline sponsor for Terracotta Festival 2011, and that we are in the midst of designing a great product configuration for SPARROW for the UK to make it a really collectible edition.

you heard it here first!

merry christmas and wishing you lots of good things for 2011!
